Deadline Tomorrow for Colt Stampede Meal

TOMORROW, October 19th is the LAST day to order your In-N-Out food for the Colt Stampede! The In-N-Out food truck will be there from 5:30-7 serving burgers. You must pre-order your food ticket online by 10/19. You will pick up your food tickets at the race and hand them to the In-N-Out truck for a burger, chips, and a drink. There is a grilled cheese option (bun and cheese) and a veggie option (fully loaded burger minus the meat). The cost is $5 per meal. Angel Cakes, and TCBY will also be there with goodies!

**The BEST thing about In-N-Out is they give CCE back 75% of our proceeds and the other 25% goes to their Foundation for abused children.

Website Tips

This year we are using Membership Toolkit. Here are a few tips:

  • If you are a parent or guardian of a child at Cottonwood Creek Elementary, please proceed by registering for an account with Membership Toolkit. This will give you access to register for the Colt Stampede. Other ‘functionality’ within Membership Toolkit for CCE will be rolled out in 2018.
  • After you register, you will be sent a confirmation email.
  • Click on the “Verify My Email” Button
  • Once you are taken to the site, enter the password you just created
  • Complete the registration form

After you are registered with Membership Toolkit you will be able to sign up for the race!

If you have friends or family that would like to donate, they can use the Guest Link to contribute!

Who's got some Colt Stampede spirit???

If you’ve seen your child or others sporting panda bears on lanyards, then they’ve got Colt Stampede spirit.

The pandas are given for various levels of Colt Stampede participation, such as registering for the race and for every $25 donated in their name. Students can collect multiple pandas and show their Colt Stampede spirit!

Classroom Competitions Each Week: One class from grades K-2 and one class from 3-5 with the most donations will receive:

  • A class prize such as pajama day, hat day, or extra recess etc.

Classroom Competition For End of Fundraiser: For the most donations

  • Top 2 classes will win a Tailgate Party
  • Top 2 teachers of classes with the most donations will receive a $50 gift card from a store of their choice.
  • All of our teachers receive 10% back of the amount their class raises to be spent for their classrooms!
  • Top 2 students with most donations win a Fujifilm Mini Instant Camera

There are 2 ways of raising funds – color run registrations and donations. Please consider asking grandparents, other relatives, or close friends who are unable to participate to donate to our school. If you need a sample script, please visit our website by clicking here.

Early Registration Ends Tonight!!

We are just about a week away until the first Colt Stampede on October 23rd at 5:30 pm! If you haven’t registered yet, please do so by midnight tonight (October 15th). Prices are going up by $5 per person on the 16th. You can register, donate, and order food tickets at www.cottonwoodpto.org.

Walk to School Wednesday!

We would like to encourage all of our students and parents to get out and walk to school Wednesday, October 18th to show support of our Healthy Zone School! Walk to School Wednesday is the first and third Wednesday of every month.

Staff members will be meeting student walkers at the following locations:

  • Corner of Sandy Lake and Winding Hollow
  • Corner of Sandy Lake and Old Coppell Road
  • Corner of Parkway and Graham

You are welcome to drop students off to join the teachers at these locations as we walk to school at 7:20 a.m.

Leaving cars at home saves gas, saves money, improves our air quality, and provides exercise!

Salad Bar Volunteers Needed!

Grades K-2: every Tuesday
Grades 3-5: every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday

Students will be offered the salad bar as part of the regular lunch. There is no extra cost for this option. If your child brings a lunch from home, she or he can purchase a side Salad Bar for $1.50. Either way, your student will be able to go back to the Salad Bar as many times as they would like!

Mr. Bob and Ms. Esha will be heading up the volunteer crew at the Salad Bar. They will need some additional volunteers if you can spare some time or just want to spend lunchtime with your child. All volunteers enjoy a free Salad Bar lunch just for helping out!

  • Help Cottonwood maximize our students learning with classroom/schoolwide enrichment programs. In addition, 10% of our proceeds will be given back to the teachers to help enhance the classroom experience for our learners.

In honor of our 11th year of serving learners in Coppell, Coppell Gifted Association is offering a yearly membership to parents for $11. Membership includes early registration and discounts for MOSAIC summer camps, early notification, registration and discounts for student and parent events and free membership to the Texas Association for the Gifted and Talented (TAGT).
