School Vandalism: Saturday, June 10th
Published: Tue, Jun 13, 2017, 04:29PM CDT

Cottonwood Creek Families,

On Saturday, June 10th at approximately 9:16 p.m., the front doors leading into the school were vandalized and our entry way signs will now need to be replaced. We know, from camera footage, that this vandalism was caused by three individuals.

We ask that if you saw anything or have camera footage on the evening of June 10th to email, call the Coppell Police Department, or message the Facebook page. If you live in the neighborhood, you could have seen these individuals walking that night and we would appreciate any information you may have.

Additionally, please report any information of suspicious behavior around the school to the police.

This is a fun opportunity to help serve and get to know the staff at Cottonwood Creek. There are opportunities to help on small projects like creating a sign up from the comfort of your own home computer, to larger opportunities like serving coffee and muffins to our visiting veterans on Veteran’s Day.

Here are a few opportunities to consider:
Smaller opportunities:

  • Work from home and create a sign up for various events throughout the year.
  • Set up or Clean up at one of our many events, either one event or as many as your schedule can allow.
  • Help plan ideas for Special Education Appreciation Week
  • Help plan ideas for Teacher Appreciation Week
  • Help with our monthly teacher/staff treats

Larger but one time per year opportunities:

  • Plan and organize our Boo Hoo/YaHoo breakfast
  • Plan and organize Heart Healthy Week
  • Plan and organize Field Day snow cone machine and volunteers

Please contact Dawn Johnson at if you are interested, we really would appreciate any help you could give us.

Cottonwood Creek Families…

Tomorrow, May 19th, we will celebrate Cottonwood Creek’s 20th Birthday! At the end of this note is an invitation to the evening celebration from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Several suggestions for tomorrow night’s festivities:

- Parking will be VERY limited. Our parking lot will be reserved for staff members, and the front parking lot will be where food trucks are located. Please plan to walk from home or park in the nearby neighborhoods. Parking in the fire lanes is against the law.

  • Egg Stand

  • Yummy Pizza Food Truck
  • Best Hot Dog in Town
  • CCE Café Crispitos (Throwback Lunchroom Favorite)
  • Kona Ice (frozen treats)

  • Photo Booths will be part of the fun…bring your cameras!
