CCE Talent Show
Published: Sun, Apr 23, 2017, 08:40AM CDT

It is once again time to start planning for the annual Cottonwood Creek Talent Show. The talent show will be held on the following afternoons at 1:30 p.m. in the CCE Cafeteria:

May 26 – 3rd grade
May 30 – 4th grade
May 31 – 5th grade

The talent show will be limited to Grades 3 through 5. Each student may be in only one act. Each person or group will meet with the Director to discuss the details of their act and to have any music approved.

Please be prepared to discuss your act and perform a portion of it during your regularly scheduled Specials time on Friday, April 28th. Reminders will be made on the Dr. Penny Show. Our talented back stage crew will be serving as MC’s again this year.

Please have these things ready for tryouts:

  • Google form submitted by Wednesday, April 26th. Click on CCE’s Got Talent for the form. ONLY 1 per group- Students must be able to explain the entire finalized/organized act.
  • A printed copy of the words to any song being used in the act on April 28th.
  • A karaoke version of the song on a CD DUE at the time of auditions on April 28th.
  • An explanation of any props you will be using and a description of costumes.

Length of the act can be no more than 3 or 4 minutes.

Any questions please email Sarah Meador at smeador@coppellisd.com or Stephanie Hammons at shammons@coppellisd.com.

Cottonwood Creek joins hands and hearts!
Published: Sun, Apr 23, 2017, 08:40AM CDT

One of our CCE parents, Allison Hartzell, was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 head and neck cancer. It began as stage 1 on her tongue. On January 19th she had surgery to remove the cancerous lesion from her tongue. The cancer was more invasive than anticipated and required another immediate surgery. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy and radiation. Allison and her husband, Rick, are parents to two small children..one of which attends CCE. She is also the choir teacher at CMS West.

As a school of caring, compassionate leaders, our children wanted to help this family in a tangible way. Each Friday during the month of April, we will sell popsicles for $1.00 each (exact change, please). The fundraising efforts will be led by Mrs. Wszolek’s class. All proceeds will go directly to support the Hartzell family.

We appreciate our CCE families and your efforts to help us assist one of our own families during a challenging time.
